It's Uni Time!

With a fresh copy of Uni in my hands, I made the decision to send some of my teen sims to college. I decided to send Zachary, Taylor, and Jeremy and then throw in Josh and Jacob for good measure. I had just begun to play Josh and Jacob a little more than I had been, fleshed them out a bit, with Josh developing into a somewhat rebellious teen, and Jacob being his by-the-book well-behaved counterpart. Josh had even "gotten lucky" a few times. He had a girlfriend, now, named Paris Dawson. Well, he "sort of" had a girlfriend, anyway, according to Maxian standards. He flirted with Paris a tiny bit, she immediately developed a crush on him, and then her sister Brynne (heh.) ran over and kissed him right in front of her. Brynne had been one of Josh's "successes" a day or so earlier. Paris, having not even kissed the boy yet, slapped him silly. She had already claimed him as hers, evidently.

Anyway, the kids arrived at the dorms, did their little age-transition thing with bad outfits all around, chose their rooms, and immediately headed outside for a game of kicky bag. And never went to class. Hack conflict. They stopped playing kicky bag for a nice 5 hour-long "hang out" session . I thought these new interactions were so cool back then! Once the hack-conflict was resolved, my sims had the option to go to class. But because they had already missed so many classes, their grades weren't so hot.

Josh was the first to join a fraternity, and the others followed suit, except for Taylor who chose to remain behind at the dorm. She soon pledged the Tri Var Sorority, but it wasn't long before she began to miss her young husband and moved into the frat house to be with him. Ashley Pitts, Castor Nova, Joshua Ruben, and Kevin Beare immediately turned gay and were quite happy with the new hot romance brothers living with them. Kevin and Joshua were so distracted by these new stud-brothers to study, however, so were placed on academic probabation in no time. They ended up flunking out of Uni altogether. Ashley and Castor, who were both changed into knowledge sims, developed a hot and heavy romance, eventually getting engaged. Ashley had a one-time slip-up with Remington the maid, but Castor found it in his heart to forgive him.

Ashley and Castor celebrate their engagement:

Josh was coming into his own as a full-fledged romance sim. He was wanted by every female, and many males, on campus. Remington was let go, at Castor's insistence, and Kaylynn Langerak was hired. Well, Josh just had to have Kaylynn. Kaylynn was not hard to persuade. So, everyday, after the fishtank was clean and sparkly, Kaylynn would coyly ask Josh if he wanted to "hang out". And hang out, they did!

Josh is diggin' this romance thing:

"Hanging out":

"What?! I'm just 'dismissing the maid'..."

Their brief, but powerful, affair ended when Josh's old flame, Paris, came to visit. Paris finally got her first kiss, which led to other activities. Kaylynn sensed this even though the fishtank was way downstairs, and burst into Josh's room to slap the crap out of Josh. And so the Josh/Kaylynn affair was no more. Josh decided he still liked to have a little fun with the maid, though, and took great joy in joy buzzing or throwing water balloons at her. Ashley would join in with a ventrilo-fart and they would both laugh their heads off while Kaylynn cried in frustration.

Paris finally kisses Josh:

Fun with Kaylynn:

Zachary, meanwhile, was not faring so well in his quest for sex. He had stiff competition with Josh, it seemed. He also developed a steady relationship with new girlfriend Larissa Padgett, who soon became a permanent fixture at the frat house. There remained a problem, though. Zachary had never broken up with his highschool sweetheart, Chloe Manning. Chloe strolled in one afternoon as Zachary and Larissa were cuddling on the couch and was not at all happy with what she saw. She slapped him, he stormed off to class, then broke up with her as soon as he returned.

Just not having much luck anywhere, romantically, are we, Zachary?

Paris became pregnant with Josh's first child, a son, while Josh was a junior in college. That did not stop Josh from flirting with the ladies, though. His bedpost was heavily notched. Paris dropped out of college and moved back to Pleasantville to live with her family while pregnant.

Pregnant Paris:

Josh, Jacob, Zachary and Jeremy had all started a band while still in high school. Once at the frat house, a stage was constructed in the backyard, and the boys performed at many a party. When they could drag the guests off the instruments, that is. They were convinced they'd make it big one day. They even arranged a photo shoot for their first album cover! And Josh, Drama major that he was, began to feel that music, and not acting, was his true calling. He played the drums day in and day out. Zachary took up the keyboard (or, rather, clunky upright piano), Jacob played guitar and Jeremy played the upright bass. They earned quite a bit in tip money alone!

The band practiced constantly, even if the piano player had just wet himself. Just noticed that in this pic Jacob is on the bass and Jeremy is on the guitar. Typically it was the other way around.:

Josh was known to practice well into the night:

Album covers were already planned out:

The Bayfield family members visited frequently and loved a good game of pool:

Josh was the first to graduate, and he did so with honors. Jacob, Jeremy and Zachary followed, also with honors. Even though they had a rocky start because of the hack conflict that wouldn't let them go to class (how many times have you used that excuse?) they made the dean's list every semester. Taylor also made the dean's list, but she was a bit behind her uncles, brother, and husband, so she decided to pull out so she could remain with her hubby, who moved back to Pleasantville after graduation to live with their kids. And the rest of the extended family, of course! All one billion of them.

Josh's graduation party was a success (notice Dayna sneaking off after realizing in horror that she had worn the same dress as Brandi Broke...):

One last set with the boys:

...and Josh is off to the "real world"
